Romance. Young Adult Fiction. HTML:

Clay Preston is the most desirable guy in school, and boy does he know it!

Movie star looks paired with a quarterback's body, he's every girl's dream guyâ??but not mine. To me, he's simply my best friend, the one who has been there as far back as I can remember.

Our relationship has always been easy, playful and affectionate, but after one lost bet, and one payment in the form of a kiss, the dynamic of everything changes...

Note: Always You is book one in the Best Friend series; however, it is a standalone novel with a complete ending.

EDITORIAL REVIEWS FOR ALWAYS YOU:

"It was one hell of a ride, with all the possible bumps and surprises you somehow didn't see coming." - Book Freak Blog

"The book had plenty of unexpected twists and turns! Which were all very dramatic. It was definitely a page turner! â?? Keep Calm and Read a Book Blog

"I'm forever being told that I'm a sop when it comes to love stories and this story did nothing to help my cause - if anything, it made me more of a sop! The writing was amazing and portrayed a fantastic relationship full of love and affection. I thought it was a fab idea to tell some of the story from Clay's perspective and what a great perspective - he dotes on Riley - he could teach my fiancé a thing or two! - Fairy Tale Ending Book Review

"A Must Read" - Book Reader Chronicles

"Fan-flipping-tastic... The first time I read this, I finished it in one sitting and I really liked it. But when I read it again, taking a couple days to finish it, I liked it even more than I did the first time." - All My Friends Are Books B… (más)

Okay, overall the story really was interesting (although incredibly far fetched... but hey it's fiction) but my major issue and it may sound lame, but the author is obviously not from the United States- she placed the football season in the spring and it drove me crazy! It is a fall sport.
Often times the conversations didn't follow typical American flow and slang, I would guess she is from the UK. (Not having read her bio)
So yes childhood sweethearts finally fall in love, girl gets stocked by a psycho, psycho attacks said childhood love and he is nearly paralyzed (you following?) and !yay! he survives...
(After their random Vegas marriage that wasn't legal-they used fake id's... oh AND he won 175k in Vegas: say what?! I've been to Vegas a lot... I've never won more than $100, home boy got lucky with his fake ID and lack of paperwork to collect his winnings... just saying)
Then they really get married at the end, living happily ever after with twins.
Through it all I wish the author had done some research, football is a big deal here (my husband could tell you this), it is practically a religion, so placing football in the Spring was a big no-no.
Okay one more big issue, she knew nothing of American laws.
Okay really last one... who in the hell has a lounge in the US? A family room, sure. A great room, okay. A lounge... um.. what?
BUT I did read the story and found myself liking the characters... my other issues is when the POV switched, the voice didn't... it was odd.
Okay really I'm done, rant off.

(I really jumped around there. Sorry about that...) ( )

This book was an emotional rollarcoaster that i didnt want to get off of. The characters were strong and the writing was good. some of the dialog was a little confusing but did not take away from the story. I love "bestfriends to lovers" storys, I think they make the best drama. This author took that to a whole new level of drama and love that I couldnt stop reading this book. I can relate to the whole young and in love thing becaue I was there and I know that it comes with hardships but in the end it is worth the fight. I dont like to get way into details about books in my reviews but this book had me thinking and hoping that everything would turn out ok. It was just problem after problem and this young couple just couldnt catch a break to be happy. they finally got together and finally feels right and bam problem. the whole story was awesomeness them problem, which i love. gotta love the little suprises that keep you flipin them pages. Great story and a must read ( )
