A romantic suspense novel by sci-fi writer T.M. Roy, this book has some interesting twists on usual plot devices. It caught my attention in the first page, and held it well. The setting was the Canadian Rockies, an area about which I know little but imagine is beautiful -- one of the details that made this book fun to read.
I'd never read anything by this author before under any name, just chose this for a light read. But I looked up what else she had read online after reading this, and will track down at least one sci-fi work to see how her style goes in that genre. ( )

The strong main characters Connor and Serena were so vivid I could picture them, even the secondary characters like Larry instantly came to life. The story was compelling; you wanted to find out what she was running from and if they would end up together. Although the coincidence that an enemy from her past would end up there was a little bit of a stretch, stranger things happen every day. I found it hard to put the book down because it was so easy to get drawn into the story. ( )
