The story is well written and the characters you love are all there, Dia, Sam, Trey, Dulcie and Knight, the characters you aren't sure about like Quill and Bram, and the character you cannot help hating, Melchior. Then, there is the introduction of new characters. I felt a little...sad at the masquerade ball scenes, though, because you see everything blossoming between some of the characters, them finding their happily ever after, and then the realization hits that you aren't going to get to see how it plays out, because the story is over. Ms. Mallory is a skilled story teller who draws you in and leaves you gasping for more. The ....love scenes.... are hot and steamy and leave you panting for breath. If you love a good paranormal romance with a bit of an adult content to it (This story is definitely rated steamier than PG13, for sure), then this series is the one for you.
