Just in Time for Christmas tells a great story about a young boy named Will Bryan. For Will Bryan, Christmas in Kentucky means a lot of things such as, crisp cold air, caroling, present’s, friends, and family traditions. One special tradition that the Bryan’s have done for more than one hundred years is making sweet cream candy. This year Will is faced with a few problems that hinder his family traditions. His great grandmother is losing her memory. She can’t remember his name. Meanwhile Will’s dog Luke has gone missing after he ran out into the woods one evening chasing squirrels. Will continues to look for Luke each day afterwards, but he has yet to return. It is time for Christmas day in the Bryan household. Will and his family begin to carry on their traditions by making a bonfire outside and making sweet cream candy. As Will is enjoying time with his family outside he hears a familiar whistle from the road. It was Luke his dog! After Luke returns Will learns the importance of family and the spirit of traditions. I believe the setting of this story sets the tone for what its like during Christmas time at the Bryan’s. We can see from the pictures in the book and the wording how it must feel outside and also how Will must feel towards what is happening around him. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
