The Secrets to Ebook Publishing Success is a must-read for any self-publishing author. Possibly a little wordy with some obvious instructions, it's still chock-full of excellent advice, tips, and resources. Although I liked The Smashwords Book Marketing Guide a little better, they are a great companion set. It's well-written and organized in a logical manner. Definitely a steal for free, as it is easily worth paying for. ( )

Interesting and I picked up a few tips, but there was nothing there that is not obvious for any author who has already published a book and is on the marketing trail. Worth the read though. ( )

The head of self-publishing company SmashWords offers some useful advice on self-publishing via ebooks. While it's slanted to using SmashWords, it's wider-ranging than that. It's free to download, and the contents are useful and well-written. Available from SmashWords, obviously, but also on Amazon and presumably other platforms. ( )
