As a retired Navy Officer I very much enjoyed learning more about the Traditions and lexicon of the Navy, the United States Navy and other Navies of the world. While I knew many of the terms and traditions, there were quite a few I did not know. Definitely an interesting read. ( )

I found this book a worthy purchase at an estate sale. In the format of Ripley's Believe or Not books, it reviews all sorts of naval history, lore and traditions. Learned the origins of various phrases I have always taken for granted.

The book was signed by a WWII veteran as a gift to his parents (it appears) during the war. ( )
