This book is about the Hardy Boys who are brothers that are kid detectives. In the town that they live in called Bayport they are pretty famouse. Their father does the same thing that they do but he gets payed and they don't. In this story there is a new kid named Max moves into their town and is in their class. He is a magician that says that he can make anything disapear. Mrs. Briar's dog Charlie has dissapeared and the hardy boys think that Max made him disapear. They put on a show that Max is the star in to try and find out if he was responsible for it. They were wrong and at the end they say sorry to Max and that is what happens at the end. ( )
