It reminded me of Sophie's World in many respects and had a nice, simple storyline. However, it didn't insult the readers intelligence and gave a clear exposition of some interesting mathematics. Math Girls is about a group of girls who share a love of math and create a math club. The story progresses with someone giving a problem and the other attempting to solve it. There is not much of a story but it is math content heavy with mathematical thinking being explained as they solve the problem. This is a book I would recommend to someone that needs to be challenged in math. Math Girls is a romance novel that is also a way to introduce advance mathematics. Known as Manga, these Japanese comic books are graphic and entertaining. It allows the reader to see through the eyes of three students as they learn how to solve mathematics and deal with love. I think it would be a good read to give for the girl students so that the drama in the book can keep them hooked enough to read and gain something from the math undertones that weave through the novel. I really liked it and I really think it would hold a middle school readers interest. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
