More like 3.5-Didnt like as well as the other ( )

A quick, enjoyable read. Compared to first two in series, both more/heavier romance and more/heavier police/investigator aspect of Dulcie. A surprise twist of an ending; not a cliffhanger but obviously there is at least another book to come. I waffled on how many stars to give this one; would have been a four if had been less jumpy/murky and if reader and Dulcie both hadn't been left completely in the dark so much (okay, "show don't tell" is pounded into writers nowadays but all the murky messing about in Netherworld and searching for her Loki completely clueless -- a good mystery does leave some clues and breadcrumbs for the reader and she came across as kinda a dumb bimbo damsel in distress versus professional law enforcement by not insisting on better investigating/preparing before diving in), if Bram had been more consistent, if ... oh well. Good series, good book, good writing. Somehow not as satisfying a book to me as rest of series (parts just didn't seem to fit). Looking forward to next one and hopefully more fun with the romance, the secondary characters that took too much of a backseat in this one, and the storyline resulting from what was revealed in surprise out-of-thin-air-with-no-clue-given ending.
