This book is most appropriate for preschoolers. This book is about a cat named Pete who is wearing his special red shoes in order to go to school. With each new place he encounters at school Pete sings a special song in order to make his worries go away. Pete uses his song and the comfort of his shoes in order to get throughout the school day worry free. In the end he realizes that he is able to face the uncertainties of school tomorrow because of his confidence in his school shoes.
