Kate Kimball has returned home after years as a prima ballerina to open her own dance school. The building she purchases is in dire need of renovation and the contractor, single dad, Brody O'Connell, is everything Kate has ever wanted in a man. Now she just has to convince the reluctant Brody that she is the perfect match for him as well.

This is a solid ending to the series although there are too many similarities plotwise to Taming Natasha, and Kate is an even pushier version than Freddie in Waiting for Nick. Her determination to "get her man" is overdone, especially since Brody is not all that interested in a serious relationship. If the positions were reversed, Brody would be considered a stalker.

Once again, the updates on the rest of the Stanslaski clan are a delight, and Spence's difficulties accepting that his youngest child is all grown up are sweet and endearing.

All in all, this has been an entertaining series and Christina Traister's narration notches up the enjoyment factor. The 2nd book, Luring a Lady is the best of the bunch. ( )

Once upon a time, some 25 years ago, when I was a teen and read a lot of romance novels, I remember reading a few Nora Roberts books and enjoying them.

Although I love romantic stories, I rarely read genre romance novels now because I find them too sappy, predictable and unchallenging. But as an author, I was “researching” the genre and decided who better to look at than one of the most prolific and successful romance novelist. I also enjoy dancing and have been taking an adult beginner ballet class, so I thought Considering Kate, in which the title character returns to her small town roots to open a ballet school, would be particularly interesting for me.

Roberts definitely has a gift for wringing emotions and creating an easy-to-devour, heart-warming romance, bringing in good supporting characters, and tying it all neatly together with a bow. Although it was sappy and predictable, and everything worked out oh so well at the end, it is one of those feel-good books that has you crying at the end. Which is probably exactly why I liked them once upon a time.

This book is from Roberts’ long-running Stanislaskis series; reading it, I realized some of the characters from earlier books in the series, were vaguely familiar to me from more than two decades ago.

Although I won’t be reading any of Roberts’ or similar types of books again anytime soon, it was a pleasant few hours whiled away on a nice walk down memory lane.

This was actually the first Stanislaskis book that I read and I thought it was wonderful. Kate and Brody made a wonderful couple and I just loved Jack. He was so precious. A really great read that avidly kept my interest. ( )

The last of the Stanislaskis to fall in love. Kate story's is equal at her father/mother romantic story but in reverse.
Although it was a reading, the feeling of repetition was too strong to ignore. ( )

This was a charming story featuring Kate Stanislaski Kimball, one of the next generation of the Stanislaski's. She was a professional ballerina until she decides to move home, renovate an old building and open a dance studio. Her plans are disturbed somewhat when she meets a young widower and his son, the man she's going to have to work with to create the studio of her dreams.

I'm usually not one for kids in a story but this one stole the show. He was cute and charming and his father's love for him lept out. I enjoyed the read. ( )
