Marcella's Awakening was unlike anything I have read before. I loved that it was written as diary entries. It gave a whole different flavor to the book, that made it stand out from the others.

I loved how honest and full of life Marcella was. She never made any excuses for what she did and she didn't apologize. I found it cute that Marcella's libido was described at Marcel, and she blames it for her actions and raging hormones. Wouldn't it be nice to blame someone else for raging hormones?

Once James, the ex-military man comes into Marcella's life things change for her. I loved the battle within Marcella and Marcel. It added some much needed drama to the story.
