I received a free copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review. “The Forbidden Secret of the Goody Box” focuses on the love lives of three close friends, Debra, Sherry, and Rachel. With the help of “Doc Reed”, Debra and Sherry learn the mysteries of men and how to build a lasting relationship.

This was an excellent book! Although the story is a work of fiction, there is quite a bit of information to glean from it. We learn how men think and how differently we’re wire, but most importantly how to have a relationship that stands the test of time. Debra is a main character that is easy to connect with, she’s so down to earth and realistic. The other character I connected with was Rachel; I can relate to her unhappiness and hurt from her marriage to the point of no return. This is a great read even if you’re in a great relationship; it still opens your eyes to quite a bit. This is a must read for all women

Although The Forbidden Secrets of the Goody Box is a work of fiction, readers are bound to see resemblances of their former or present selves or other women they know. Dispersed within the interesting dialogue of three friends are relational nuggets dispensed by Doc Reed-the relationship guru. Although this is a fast-paced entertaining read, this book will not just leave you entertained but informed and thinking about your own approach to relationships.

Disclosure: I was provided a complimentary copy of the book from the author in exchanged for a review. Views and opinions expressed are my own. ( )
