Acerca de míI was born in Warsaw, Poland, but I grew up in Rome, Italy. When I was 16, I moved to Wales to attend The United World College of the Atlantic, an international IB school, where my interest in other countries and their cultures deepened, and where I became very passionate about natural sciences.
I graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a major in biology this spring and I am currently attending medical school at Jefferson Medical College.
I like pretty much anything, from classics to books about different countries and cultures to non fiction.. Sometimes I go through phases, I get obsessed with an author or a subject and read all about it until I feel like moving on to another one!

Acerca de mi bibliotecaMy library is quite scattered out and about, some books are with me, some are in Rome or Poland. In the past year I discovered bookmooch, and fell in love with it, I exchanged several books with people all over the place, and I would highly recommend it!
My favourite places to buy books are used bookstores, there are a few good ones in Philadelphia, such as the Last Word Bookshop and Molly's Bookstore, both of which feature awesome cats :)
Joseph Fox is another great independent bookstore I like (new books)

I was hoping you might drop by the Le Salon thread “Alex Austin: Underappreciated Author” The thread has been up about three weeks and considering the books we share I think you might find some of it intriguing. The URL is http://www.librarything.com/topic/82398

Hey Kamila..... I finally got a book!!!
We have 83 books in common, but yet I see from reading your profile that we have lead very different lives. I wonder if we have drawn different conclusions from the reading of these same books?

Hi,

Was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Saw you liked Butcher Boy, and I thought you might like my novel since it's also about a disturbed adolescent and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Hi Kamila,

Thank you for accepting my invite. I find your library fascinating - it is definitely one that I will be poking around for recommendations.

Happy New Year. Hope to hear from you soon.

Kamila,

Thank you for your message about "A Thousand Veils." I have not read anything by Ghada Samman, but the books you mentioned by her sound very interesting.
