Acerca de míI am an amateur astronomer, computer nerd, telescope maker, primitive guitarist, cat Dad and poet. In an alternate universe which no longer exists I was an actor.
Acerca de mi bibliotecaTwo things:
1) I often use the term "insane" as praise. This can be misleading, unless you are Crazy Eddie. I am not Crazy Eddie. It is not likely you are Crazy Eddie. Thus the explanation.
2) Many of the books listed are rated 5 stars not because I am so easy to please but because I tend to sell and/or give away anything that I don't really really like.

Hi,
Thanks for adding me to your interesting library list. I noticed your selection of book reviews, which has sparked my interest to read some of the selection. As an amateur astronomer myself, I began reading Lee Smolin's The Life of the Cosmos recently. He has an easy style and a sober self-reflection that I think you'd appreciate.

I hope you enjoy the books! I only chose a duo, actually, but maybe an elf rounded out the selection (I had been several dollars under the total). I was hoping the Stewart and Weyl books would complement each other by presenting more historical context and more mathematical detail, respectively, about a very beautiful subject. One problem withe the Stewart book is that many of the biographies will probably be familiar if you've read Men of Mathematics (I see it's in your library), but I liked it anyway. Happy New Year!
